Gael García Bernal is a Mexican actor and filmmaker born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, on November 30, 1978. Known for his work in both film and television, his acting credits include performances in Amores perros, Y tu mamá también, Bad Education, The Motorcycle Diaries, Babel, Coco, Old, and Cassandro. He also played music conductor Rodrigo de Souza in the television drama series Mozart in the Jungle, which ran from 2014 to 2018, and starred in the Disney+ special Werewolf by Night. For his portrayal of a young Che Guevara in The Motorcycle Diaries, he received a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2005.
