Frederic Fenimore Forrest Jr. (December 23, 1936 – June 23, 2023) was an American male actor born in Waxahachie, Texas. He attended Texas Christian University before entering the New Hollywood era, where he gained public attention for his performance in When the Legends Die (1972), earning a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. Forrest became known for collaborations with director Francis Ford Coppola, appearing in The Conversation (1974), Apocalypse Now (1979) as the Chef, One from the Heart (1982) and Tucker: The Man and His Dream (1988). His portrayal of Huston Dyer in The Rose (1979) earned nominations for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. He was also credited under the name Frederic Feni.
