Biography
Federico Fellini was an Italian film director and screenwriter who lived from January 20, 1920, to October 31, 1993. He is recognized as one of the most influential filmmakers of the 20th century. His directing style is noted for blending fantasy and baroque imagery, creating idiosyncratic visions of society that incorporate elements of memory, dreams, surrealism, and desire. The terms Fellinian and Felliniesque are used to describe extravagant or fanciful images in cinema and art. Throughout a career lasting nearly fifty years, his work included the film La Dolce Vita, which won the Palme d'Or. He held the title of Knight Grand Cross.
