Elisabeth Volkmann was a German actress and comedian born in Essen, Germany on March 16, 1936. She completed her training at the Folkwangschule in Essen, where she received her first role in the theater. She later moved to Munich and appeared on stage in Berlin, Hamburg, and other places, playing Shakespeare and other classics. Volkmann became a joker and comedian known for starring in the absurd comedy series Klimbim starting in 1973, alongside Ingrid Steeger, portraying characters such as Jolanthe von Scheußlich and the mother Jolanthe. Her television credits also include appearances in the series Schloss Pompon Rouge from 1991 and Die rote Meile from 1999, as well as Hausfrauen-Report in 1971. Additionally, she provided the German voice for Marge Simpson from 1991 until her death on July 27, 2006, at the age of 70.

Additionally, she served as the German dubbing voice for Marge Simpson from 1991 until her death. Her film and television credits also encompass works such as Der ganz normale Wahnsinn and appearances on Die Harald Schmidt Show.
