Eileen Walsh is an Irish film, television, and stage actress born on April 16, 1977, in Cork, Ireland. Initially uninterested in acting, she followed in the footsteps of her elder sister, Catherine. Walsh earned critical acclaim for her performance as Runt in the original stage production of Disco Pigs. She secured her first film lead in the 1999 movie Janice Beard 45 WPM, playing the titular role. Her subsequent film work included portraying Crispina in Peter Mullan's 2002 film The Magdalene Sisters. In 2008, she won the Best Actress award at the Tribeca Film Festival for her portrayal of Breda in the film Eden.
