Donald Poe Galloway was an American stage, film, and television actor born on July 27, 1937, in Augusta, Kentucky. Standing six feet two inches tall, he is best known for his television role as Detective Sergeant Ed Brown in the series Ironside, which ran from 1967 to 1975, a role he later reprised for a television film in 1993. Galloway was a graduate of Bracken County High School and the University of Kentucky, where he studied drama. In addition to his acting career, he was a politically active Libertarian, columnist, and journalist. He passed away on January 8, 2009.
