David Ellison is an American film producer born on January 9, 1983. He is the son of Oracle Corporation co-founder Larry Ellison. In 2006, he founded Skydance Media, serving as its chief executive officer until 2025. Beginning in August 2025, he assumed the roles of chairman and chief executive officer of Paramount Skydance. Throughout his career, Ellison has produced several notable films, including Terminator Genisys, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Life, and Top Gun: Maverick. The film Top Gun: Maverick received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Picture. His professional background is rooted in his leadership at Skydance Media and his subsequent transition to his current executive position at Paramount Skydance.
