Biography
Coleen Gray, born Doris Bernice Jensen on October 23, 1922, in Staplehurst, Nebraska, was an actress with eighty-one known credits. After graduating from high school, she studied dramatics at Hamline University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She subsequently traveled to California, working as a waitress in La Jolla before moving to Los Angeles to enroll in a drama school. Her performances there caught the attention of a talent scout from 20th Century-Fox, leading to a contract after a screen test. Her film work with Fox included appearances in The Razor's Edge in 1946, as well as Kiss of Death and Nightmare Alley, both released in 1947. She passed away on August 3, 2015, at the age of ninety-two.
