Clinton Clint Eastwood Jr., born May 31, 1930, is an American film actor, director, producer, composer, and former politician. He achieved a breakthrough role on the television series Rawhide, which aired from 1959 to 1965. During the 1960s, he starred as the Man with No Name in Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy, consisting of A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, he portrayed San Francisco Police Department Inspector Harry Callahan in the Dirty Harry film series, which includes Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, The Enforcer, Sudden Impact, and The Dead Pool. These performances established his reputation for playing tough-talking, no-nonsense characters.
