Chieko Matsubara is a Japanese actress born on 6 January 1945. She is known for her work in the film industry. Matsubara made her debut at the age of 16 in the 1961 film Yoru no chōsensha. She went on to appear in over 100 films at Nikkatsu. Matsubara is also known for her roles in Tokyo Drifter and the Outlaw series. She is one of the representative actresses of Nikkatsu and has been active in the film industry for many years. Matsubara's stage name is 松原智恵子, and she is also known as Matsubara Chiek.
