Biography
Cheng Yi (born May 17, 1990) is a Chinese actor and singer from Huaihua in Hunan Province. While studying at the Central Academy of Drama, he made his television debut in 2011 with the series Beauty World (唐宫美人天下). After graduating in 2012, he entered film with his debut in Haunting Love (诡爱). His early work earned him the Newcomer award at the seventh Donews Awards in 2016. In November 2023 he received the Outstanding Young Actor Award for his performance in Mysterious Lotus Casebook (莲花楼) at the nineteenth Chinese‑American Film & TV Festival, one of only two awards presented that night. He is credited in thirty productions.
