Biography
Chandra K. West is a Canadian actress born on December 31, 1970, in Edmonton, Alberta. She is the youngest of eight children. Her family relocated to Oak Bay, British Columbia, and later to Oakville, Ontario, where she spent most of her youth. At age 17, West attended a summer acting camp in Oxford, England. She pursued further training in the Theater Performance Program at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. West began her professional acting career in 1991 with a small role in the film True Confections, a drama set in the 1950s about a woman with an ahead-of-her-time awareness. West attended Monterey Elementary in Oak Bay for three years during her childhood.
