William Herman Katt, known professionally as Bill Williams, was an American film and television actor born in Brooklyn, New York, to German immigrant parents. He attended the Pratt Institute and worked as a professional swimmer in underwater shows. His early film work included a walk-on role as a theater usher in King Kong in 1933, and he made his credited debut in The Blue Room in 1944. During World War II, he enlisted in the United States Army but was discharged before the conflict ended. He is best known for starring in the syndicated series The Adventures of Kit Carson from 1951 to 1955. Williams died on September 21, 1992.
