Since moving to Los Angeles in January 2009, he became known as a series regular playing tech operator and surfer Eric Beale on the CBS drama NCIS: Los Angeles, alongside Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, and Linda Hunt.
His television work also includes appearing as a recurring guest on Entourage as Ari's assistant, on the original series NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and guest-starring on Numb3rs and The Closer opposite Kyra Sedgwick. On Broadway, Foa starred as the leads in Avenue Q as Princeton and Rod, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Leaf Coneybear, and he was part of the original Broadway cast of Mamma Mia!
