Byun Baek-hyun, known mononymously as Baekhyun and by the stage name 백현, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor born on May 6, 1992, in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. He was officially revealed as the ninth member and vocalist of the South Korean boy band EXO on January 30, 2012, ahead of the group's official debut in April 2012. Alongside his work with EXO, he is a member of the subgroup EXO-K, the subunit EXO-CBX, and became a leader of the supergroup SuperM in 2019. Baekhyun began pursuing a solo career in 2019 with the release of his debut extended play, City Lights, which was followed by the extended play Delight in 2020.

City Lights was followed by two million-selling extended plays, including Delight in 2020, which marked the first album by a solo artist in South Korea to have sold over 1 million copies.
