Artur Atze Brauner, who was also known by the birth name Abraham Brauner, was a German film producer and entrepreneur of Polish origin. He was born on August 1, 1918, in Lodz, Lodzkie, Poland, and passed away on July 7, 2019, at the age of 100. Brauner and his family, who were of Jewish descent, were persecuted by the Nazis during the occupation of Poland. He managed to flee to the Soviet Union. In 1946, he founded CCC-Film, building it into one of the most successful German production companies of the post-war period. Over his career, he accumulated 234 known credits primarily in production.
