Anthony Deane Rapp is an American stage and film actor and singer born on October 26, 1971. He is best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in the 1996 Broadway production of Rent. Rapp later reprised this role in the film adaptation and the 2009 Broadway tour of the musical. Additionally, he performed the role of Charlie Brown in the 1999 Broadway revival of You are a Good Man, Charlie Brown. His career encompasses work in both theater and cinema, with his professional history notably linked to these specific stage and film productions.
