Anne Fontaine
Biography
Anne Fontaine is a filmmaker and screenwriter born in Luxembourg in 1959. She is the sister of actor Jean-Chrétien Sibertin-Blanc. Fontaine's family relocated to Lisbon when she was a young child, where her father, Antoine Sibertin-Blanc, is a music professor and cathedral organist. She later moved to Paris to train in dance with Joseph Russillo while continuing her academic education, including philosophy. Fontaine is married to film producer Philippe Carcassonne and they have an adopted son born in Vietnam. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, she worked as an actor, being cast by Robert Hossein in a theatrical production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, playing the role of Esmeralda.
