Anita Rose Morris was an American actress, singer, and dancer born on March 14, 1943, in Durham, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Eloise Chappell and James B. Morris. Morris began her career in Broadway musicals, including Seesaw, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Nine, the latter of which earned her a Tony Award nomination. Her film credits include Ruthless People, Absolute Beginners, The Hotel New Hampshire, Aria, 18 Again!, A Sinful Life, and Bloodhounds of Broadway. She also held leading roles in two television series during the 1980s, the Fox sitcom Down and Out in Beverly Hills and the NBC prime time soap opera Berrenger's. Morris died on March 2, 1994, at the age of 50.
