Anita Louise was an American film and television actress born as Anita Louise Fremault in New York City on January 9, 1915. She made her acting debut on Broadway at the age of six and began appearing in Hollywood films within a year, eventually being named a WAMPAS Baby Star as her stature grew. By her late teens, she was cast in leading and supporting roles in major productions. Among her film successes were Madame Du Barry, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Story of Louis Pasteur, Anthony Adverse, Marie Antoinette, The Sisters, and The Little Princess. By the 1940s, her roles were reduced and she acted infrequently until television provided further opportunities in the 1950s. She passed away on April 25, 1970.
