Andrzej Chyra is a Polish actor born on August 27, 1964, in Gryfow Slaski, Dolnoslaskie, Poland. He graduated from the Acting Theater School in Warsaw in 1987 and later majored in Directing at the same university in 1994. He made his film debut in 1993 as Benvollo in the film Order of Affection, directed by Radoslaw Piwowarski. His recognition grew from his role as Gerard Nowak in the 1999 film Debt, directed by Krzysztof Krauze, for which he received the Best Actor award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. He also received a prize at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2005 for his role in Komornik. His filmography includes appearances in works such as Dekalog, Posledni rodina, Dluh, and the series 1983.
