Lin Hoi moved to Hong Kong in 1996 to develop his acting skills. He has participated in numerous movies and TV dramas, starting his acting career in 1997. Lin Hoi has acted in 30 films and 18 TV series. He is known for his versatility, able to play both hero and villain. Prior to his acting career, Lin Hoi worked as a special effects costume and makeup artist in the United States, assisting local film workers including Tsui Hark.
