Amy Morton is an American actress and director. Born on April 3, 1959, she is best known for her work in theatre. Morton has been nominated for two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play for her performances in August: Osage County and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Her film work includes appearances in Rookie of the Year, Up in the Air, The Dilemma, and Bluebird. Since 2014, Morton has played the role of Sergeant Trudy Platt in the NBC drama series Chicago P.D.
