Amirah J is an American actress born in 2007 and raised in Washington, D.C. She began her acting career at age eight and gained recognition for her role as Xan in the television series Shameless, which aired from 2018. In 2024, she appeared as Ava in the series High Potential. She also starred as Katie in the 2022 short film How Not To Be a Junkie. A native of Washington, D.C., Amirah currently resides in Los Angeles with her family. Her parents are Tiffanie Johnson and a U.S. Army veteran. She is recognized as an emerging talent in U.S. television.
