Alexander Alex Jennings is an English actor born on May 10, 1957, in Essex, England, United Kingdom. He has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. He is a three-time Olivier Award winner, having won for Too Clever by Half in 1988, Peer Gynt in 1996, and My Fair Lady in 2003, making him the only performer to win Olivier awards in the drama, musical, and comedy categories. On film, he played Prince Charles in the 2006 film The Queen and appeared in The Wings of the Dove, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Babel, and The Lady in the Van. He also portrayed Edward VIII, the Duke of Windsor, in the Netflix series The Crown.
