Public Information was a series of live collaborative events that celebrated the centenary year of the birth of Dylan Thomas. Myself and Craig Wood collaborated on a curation of performative events that used Dylan Thomas’ war time propaganda scripts as a starting point. These scripts were articulated a better future for Britain after WW2 – Public Housing, the NHS, support for Culture and Nationalisation of industries. In 2014, all these values came under attack under a misguided tory policy of AUSTERITY – whose effects which ultimately fermented brexit. These Public Information nights was a rallying call for a celebration of community and creativity.

As part of a series of events, Myself, Craig worked with Artist Joehari Lee to create a 24 Hour live global internet broadcast from Dylan Thomas’s Writing Shed in Laugharne, Wales.

Here we commissioned a number of audio works – Including three 20 min audio pieces, where Artist Hywel Edwards selects and recites articles from the local Carmarthen Journal Newspaper. Reciting to a global audience very specific local news stories.

This is the 1st audio of Hywel three part audio contribution.

This audio piece here is presented / collaged – with an edited version of a longer film that was made my myself and projected during the Public Information Night in Volcano Theater in 2014.
