Overview
Wildhood is a 2021 Canadian coming-of-age romantic drama film written and directed by Bretten Hannam. The film stars Phillip Lewitski as Lincoln, also known as Link, alongside Joshua Odjick and Michael Greyeyes. In the film, Link and his brother flee their abusive father and embark on a journey. They set out to find their birth mother after their father had lied for years about her whereabouts, and to find a fresh start. Along the way, Link discovers his sexuality, and they reconnect with their indigenous heritage. They travel across Mi’kmaq territory in Nova Scotia, where Link meets Pasmay, a two-spirit lone-wolf who joins them on their journey. An expansion of Hannam's earlier short film Wildfire, the feature film was released in 2022 in the United States and has a runtime of one hour and forty-seven minutes.
