Although he is a gambling genius who prefers a quiet life, his destiny prevents him from retiring from the gambling world. Knowing that Hung Fung has vastly improved his gambling skills over the years, Cheung Tin Jing invites Chi Hong to assist him. Because of a promise made to his wife, Chi Hong initially refuses to reenter the gambling world. He only agrees to help after Cheung Tin Jing fakes a heart attack. During this time, Chi Hong meets Cheung Tin Jing's only daughter, Cheung Sik Yu, along with her childhood friend, Dik San. After Chi Hong helps Tin Jing win against Mun Long, the event ultimately leads to the death of Chi Hong's wife. Following this tragic loss, Chi Hong becomes completely disillusioned with life.
