Overview Construction:
The fifth season of What We Do in the Shadows follows several interconnected narrative threads involving the resident vampires and their associates. Nandor experiences a sense of loss as he feels his familiar and occasional friend, Guillermo, slipping away. This shift occurs because Guillermo is spending an increasing amount of time with Laszlo. To address the situation, Laszlo utilizes his skills as a gentleman scientist to investigate the mysterious and highly secret changes that Guillermo is undergoing. Meanwhile, Nadja deals with the consequences of a previously-undiagnosed supernatural hex, which leads her to reconnect with a family from the Old Country. Colin follows the trajectory of many energy vampires by pursuing a run for political office. Additionally, The Guide struggles to determine her place within the tightly-knit group of individuals who have known each other for centuries. This season continues the documentary-style exploration of the nightly lives of these characters as they navigate personal transformations and shifting group dynamics within their long-standing community.
