United! is a British television drama produced by the BBC from 1965 to 1967 and transmitted twice weekly on BBC 1. The series centres on the on‑ and off‑field life of Brentwich United, a fictional club competing in the Football League’s Second Division. Episodes interwove personal storylines with match action, the latter being filmed on the actual pitch of Stoke City. Former footballer and broadcaster Jimmy Hill served as technical advisor to help achieve a realistic portrayal of the sport.
