Joan hates that her lover Samantha entered into a green card marriage with her gay friend Jonathan--especially because they seem to be taking the fraud marriage seriously. Jonathan's lover, Kirk, is equally unhappy when it is revealed that Jonathan and Samantha have slept together. Lea wonders where all her open-mindedness has gone when her niece Rhiannon comes to stay in her new apartment with a wannabe rapper named Ricky in tow.
