Trapped 2015

Overview

Trapped is an Icelandic television series that premiered in 2015. The show was created by Baltasar Kormákur and originally aired on RÚV. The series is set in a remote Icelandic village where a murder occurs just as a severe snowstorm isolates the area from the outside world. The plot centers on the local police force as they attempt to solve the crime under extreme conditions. Ólafur Darri Ólafsson stars as Andri Ólafsson, the chief of police leading the investigation. The series was co-written by Sigurjón Kjartansson and Clive Bradley. Additional main cast members include Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, and Guðjón Pedersen. The first season consists of ten episodes. A second season was produced and aired in 2018. The show continued with subsequent seasons through 2021. The original version aired on Icelandic television network RÚV. The series title in Icelandic is Ófærð.
