Tom's Midnight Garden 1999

Overview

Tom's Midnight Garden is a 1999 family, mystery, adventure, and fantasy film with a runtime of one hour and forty-seven minutes. The story begins when Tom's brother Peter contracts measles, prompting Tom to be sent away to stay with his Uncle Alan and Aunt Gwen. They live in a flat that has no garden, and an elderly landlady named Mrs Bartholomew lives upstairs. Because Tom may be infectious, he is not permitted to play outside, which leaves him feeling lonely. Lacking physical exercise, he finds himself less sleepy at night. During one of these sleepless nights, he hears the communal grandfather clock strangely strike thirteen. Upon investigating the sound, he discovers that the small back yard has transformed into a large sunlit garden. The film was released in the United States on April seventh, 2000.
