Overview
Time Team is a British television series that focuses on archaeology. Created by television producer Tim Taylor, the program originally aired on Channel 4 from January 16, 1994, to September 7, 2014. The series returned in 2022 on online platforms. Each episode features a team of specialists conducting an archaeological dig over a period of three days. Actor Tony Robinson presents the show, explaining the excavation process in layman terms. Throughout the series, the team of specialists has included professional archaeologists such as Mick Aston, Carenza Lewis, Francis Pryor, Phil Harding, John Gater, and Stewart Ainsworth. The sites excavated by the team are located in Britain and range in date. The show encompasses 20 series and over 230 episodes. These installments document the team's investigations at diverse locations to discover historical artifacts. The series has also been directed by Michael Douglas.
