Overview

The Voronins is a television series that revolves around the life of an ordinary family. The family consists of Kostya, his wife Vera, and their children, including Masha and twins Philip and Kirill. Kostya's parents, Galina Ivanovna and Nikolai Petrovich, and his older brother Lyonya also live on the same landing as the young Voronin family. The series is a Russian adaptation of the American TV show Everybody Loves Raymond. It features the comical everyday life of the family, with Kostya portrayed as a whiny Mama's-boy sports commentator, and his family members having distinct personalities, including a long-suffering hard-working wife and a smothering mother. The show was broadcast from 2009 to 2019 and initially followed the original scripts before incorporating original scripts by the adaptation writers and Jeremy Stevens from the 211th episode onwards. The series explores the dysfunctional relationships within the family.
