Overview

The Visitor is a 2022 American psychological horror film directed by Justin P. Lange and written by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes. The film stars Finn Jones and Jessica McNamee, with Jason Blum serving as an executive producer through his Blumhouse Television banner. After experiencing a series of tragedies, including the death of his father-in-law, a man named Robert and his wife Maia leave their home in London and move back to her childhood home. While settling into the residence, Robert discovers an old portrait in the attic depicting a man who is his spitting image. This discovery sends him down a rabbit hole to uncover the identity of the mysterious doppelganger known only as the visitor. Robert eventually comes to realize that death follows wherever the visitor goes. The film runs for one hour and twenty-six minutes and was released in the United States on October 7, 2022.
