The Tempest, also known by its Spanish title La tempestad and dubbed The Storm by Univision, is a 2013 Mexican telenovela. The television series was produced by Salvador Mejía Alejandre for Televisa. The production is loosely based on the Colombian telenovela La Tormenta, which was originally produced by RTI Colombia for Telemundo and Caracol TV.
William Levy and Ximena Navarrete star in the series as the protagonists. The antagonists are portrayed by Iván Sanchez, Laura Carmine, Mariana Seoane, Cesar Evora, and Manuel Ojeda. Additionally, Daniela Romo was confirmed to star in the production. Prior to casting finalizations, Jessica Coch and Adriana Louvier were originally confirmed to star as the antagonist.
