The Metropolitan Opera: Macbeth is a 2026 filmed opera production scheduled for release in the United States on October 17, 2026, with a runtime of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Baritone Quinn Kelsey stars as the Scottish king who is haunted by ghosts following his murderous ascent to the throne. Opposite him is soprano Lise Davidsen as Lady Macbeth, whose ambition leads to their ruin. The cast also includes tenor Freddie De Tommaso as the heroic Macduff and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as Banquo, Macbeth's friend-turned-victim. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin takes the podium to conduct the performance, which features a production directed by Louisa Proske.
