The television series The Journey of Flower premiered in 2015 and falls under the drama and sci-fi and fantasy genres. The story follows the main character, Hua Qian Gu, who is described as the last god of the world and a Lone Star, which is an unlucky star. On the day of her birth, her mother passed away during childbirth while flowers wilted and the sky turned dark. Because of these events, she received the name Hua Qian Gu, meaning a thousand flower bones. Her body emits a strange scent that has the effect of attracting and provoking demons. Following the advice of her dying father, Hua Qian Gu embarks on a journey to find a teacher who can instruct her in martial arts and magic so that she can protect herself. Along the way on her journey, she meets several friends, including Dongfang Yu Qing, Meng Xuan Lang, and Sha Qian Mo.
