Overview

The Invaders is an American science fiction television series created by Larry Cohen. The program, which was a Quinn Martin production, aired on ABC for two seasons between 1967 and 1968. The series stars Roy Thinnes as David Vincent, an architect who discovers that alien beings from a dying planet have arrived on Earth. These extraterrestrials have taken human form with the ultimate purpose of making the planet their own. For Vincent, the realization began on a lonely country road while he was looking for a shortcut. After encountering a deserted diner and witnessing the landing of a craft from another galaxy, he becomes convinced of the threat. The narrative follows Vincent on his crusade to expose the silent invasion. Because the aliens appear human, he faces the constant challenge of trying to convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has already begun. Other actors featured in the series include Kent Smith, Max Kleven, and William Windom.
