Overview

The Great Ghost Rescue is a 2011 British fantasy horror family film directed by Yann Samuell and starring Emma Fielding and Georgia Groome, based on Eva Ibbotson's 1975 novel of the same name. The narrative follows a young ghost named Humphrey and his family, the Craggyfords, who face a major problem after being ousted from their home and left without a place to haunt. While searching for new haunting grounds, they discover they are not alone. Ghosts from all over the world have been exorcised from their dwellings because dark castles and ancient buildings are being destroyed by the living and transformed into shopping centers. With time running out, Humphrey digs deep inside himself and decides to help save his family and the rest of the haunting community by scaring his way to victory. The film has a runtime of one hour and nineteen minutes.
