The Drew Carey Show is an American television sitcom that aired on the ABC network from September 13, 1995, until September 8, 2004. Created by Drew Carey and Bruce Helford, the series is set in Cleveland, Ohio. The program follows the life of a fictionalized version of comedian Drew Carey, who is portrayed as an everyman. Professionally, Drew works as an assistant director of personnel at a local department store, a position he has held for ten years. Much of his workplace conflict involves his co-worker, Mimi. Outside of his job, Drew spends his time with his friends and pursues hobbies such as drinking beer. To earn additional money, he operates a micro-brewery out of his garage.
