Overview

The Client is a 1994 film centered on a young boy named Mark Sway. The story begins when Mark witnesses the suicide of a prominent Louisiana lawyer named Jerome Clifford. Before taking his own life, Clifford reveals to Mark the location of a buried Senator. This information places the child in a dangerous position, as Clifford was serving as legal counsel for a Mafia hit-man known as Barry The Blade Muldano. Following the suicide, Mark is discovered at the scene by authorities. Both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Mafia quickly conclude that Mark possesses critical information regarding the lawyer's final actions and the whereabouts of the hidden body. As a result, the boy becomes a target of interest for both organizations, who suspect that he knows more than he is willing to disclose. The narrative follows Mark as he navigates the pressure exerted by these opposing groups while attempting to manage the weight of the secret he has been forced to carry.
