The Cat Shows Her Claws is a drama and war film released in France on March 9, 1960, with a runtime of one hour and forty-two minutes. Directed by Henri Decoin, the film is set in France under the Occupation. The story follows Cora, code-named La Chatte, who was executed for treason against the Resistance and left for dead. Dr. von Hollwitz and the Germans recovered and cared for her, using brainwashing to control her for counter-espionage purposes. In the spring of 1944, her escape was faked to allow her to resume contact with the Resistance. Her mission is to sabotage the efforts of Charles, an SNCF engineer, who plans to blow up a train loaded with V1s intended for launch pads on the French coast to bomb London. Ultimately, La Chatte regains her lucidity at the last moment.
