Overview
The Bridge, also known by the titles Bron and Broen, is a Nordic noir crime television series that originally premiered in 2011. Created by Hans Rosenfeldt, Måns Mårlind, and Björn Stein, the program is a joint production between the Swedish broadcaster SVT and the Danish broadcaster DR. The series has been broadcast in more than 100 countries. The narrative begins when a body is discovered on the bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden, situated directly on the border. This discovery forces Danish inspector Martin Rohde and Swedish investigator Saga Norén to share jurisdiction and collaborate to identify the killer. The series continued through 2018, with later developments including a second season that premiered on September 22, 2013. In that season, the partners reunite following a ship crash into the Oresund Bridge, leading them to investigate a series of eco-terrorist attacks. The show is available to viewers through various streaming platforms, including Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+.
