Overview
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an American superhero animated series based on the Marvel Comics team. Produced by Marvel Animation in cooperation with Film Roman, the program debuted on Disney XD on September 22, 2010. The series serves as an adaptation of the superhero group, which originated from Marvel Comics. The narrative begins when a large group of the most powerful villains on the planet escape from prison. Individual superheroes and S.H.I.E.L.D. find themselves unable to stop the onslaught of supervillains alone. Faced with dozens of enemies seeking revenge, the heroes realize they are overwhelmed. The series follows the formation of the Avengers, who join forces to combat these threats. By working together, the heroes discover that they are stronger as a group than they are individually. This team-up allows them to make a difference against the villains, a feat they could not achieve on their own. The show later became part of the Marvel Universe programming block during its second season.
