The Art of Crime is a crime and drama television series. The series follows Captain Antoine Verlay, a hot-headed, uncultured, and good cop who has difficulty working as a team and gets assigned against his will to the Central Office for the Fight against Trafficking in Cultural Goods. He teams up with wildly imaginative art historian Florence Chaddagne to solve art-related murder cases. The investigative duo also has the assistance of Florence's art historian father, who is available in the wings for consultation. Through their intriguing investigations, Verlay and Chaddagne delve into the history of great artists, follow in the footsteps of renowned masters, and traverse the spectacular cultural landscape of Paris. The unlikely duo learns that the key to understanding the crimes lies in the works of art themselves, and they also learn they can no longer do without each other to solve their investigations.
