Overview

The Academy is a Hong Kong television drama series produced by TVB. The program focuses on the experiences of a group of new recruits as they undergo training at the Hong Kong Police training school. Over the course of twenty-seven weeks, the narrative tracks the personal development of the trainees as they learn lessons, mature, and improve as individuals. The series also highlights the evolving relationships between the recruits and their trainers throughout the instructional period. A direct sequel titled On the First Beat was subsequently produced and broadcast in 2007.
