The 100 2014

Overview

The 100 is an American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama television series developed by Jason Rothenberg. Based on the young adult novel series by Kass Morgan, the show premiered on the CW network on March 19, 2014, and concluded on September 30, 2020. The narrative is set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization on Earth, forcing the last surviving humans to live in a space habitat known as the Ark. As the Ark faces critical failure, the leadership sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to the planet to determine if the surface is habitable and to explore the possibility of repopulating the Earth. Upon their return, these survivors discover that the planet has been transformed and that they are not the only humans remaining. The series features a cast including Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Lindsey Morgan. Throughout the show, the characters must navigate the perils of a new environment while staking out their place in a world that has changed significantly since the nuclear apocalypse.
