Overview
Teen Wolf is an American supernatural teen drama television series developed by Jeff Davis for MTV. The show, which premiered in 2011 and ran until 2017, serves as a supernatural reimagining of the 1985 film of the same name. The series stars Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, and Dylan O'Brien, with episodes directed by Russell Mulcahy. The plot follows Scott McCall, an average high school student living in the town of Beacon Hills. His life is drastically altered after he is bitten by a werewolf, forcing him to navigate his new identity as a werewolf while maintaining his teenage life. Throughout the series, Scott relies on his best friend, Stiles, and manages complex relationships with others, including a love interest named Allison who belongs to a family of werewolf hunters, and a mysterious werewolf named Derek with a dark past. Scott strives to balance his supernatural responsibilities with the need to keep his loved ones safe. The pilot episode began filming in February 2010.
